Our Roots: From the Founders
For 14 years, three of our founders, with roots in Austria, Denmark, Romania, and Germany, grew up together in the US state of Ohio, playing football/soccer tournaments as a team. After separating to pursue academic and career goals, two of our founders moved to Denmark, where they met our fourth and final founder, a native Dane.
This new team member, hailing from Denmark, brought firsthand experiences of the challenges faced by non-US citizens in navigating the US e-commerce logistics sector. These hurdles, particularly pronounced for those attempting to enter the American market from abroad, inspired us to offer a new suite of logistics and fulfillment services. Our aim was to simplify the entry into the US e-commerce market for international sellers. This mission reunited our original trio and expanded our team to include a fourth member.
Driven by the complexities and barriers related to shipping, storing, and distributing products in the US for those without a physical presence or citizenship, we developed HermesLines. Our logistics platform/business is designed to be accessible, scalable, and free of bureaucratic hurdles. It empowers businesses of all sizes to engage with the thriving US market.
Inspired by the god Hermes, known for facilitating commerce, we strive to create a business so effective at fostering trade and business growth that it can only be described as ‘godlike’.
